The LEGOs Death Star playset will definitely help those that are interested in recreating the Star Wars adventure. This battle station has very impressive details. It has mini-scale scenes, parts that can move, the series' characters and add-ons from both Episode IV and VI arranged in several decks. LEGO Death Star even has got the control room from the Death Star, a hangar bay that has got the TIE Advanced starfighter, turbo lasers turrets, controls for the tractor beams, a throne room for the Emperor, a block for detainees, Imperial conference chamber, a canon that fires lasers, a facility for maintaining the droid, the Death Star superlaser to mentions but a few. One can walk around the chasm together with Leia and Luke, or face some danger in the crushing trash compactor and even face off against Darth Vader with the galaxy at stake. It has twenty-four mini figures and droids and a new Dianoga trash compactor monster. - This set was the best Christmas present for my eight years old. This Lego Star Wars set is a very fun way for him to entertain himself. He studies the catalogue regularly and was always hoping for this LEGO set from the very moment he first laid his eyes on it. This LEGO Star Wars set will surely be the best way of entertaining people all around. It took three days to completely construct the entire set and it filled up most of our living and dining rooms. The good thing about building this set is that the instructions help to construct the LEGOs Death Start one section at a time. We would therefore build it for some time then play around before resuming the construction. The prison area was one of the best done parts. It was also a great time for the entire family as we all helped in the construction. This is surely a memorable time and LEGO company has outdone itself. The instructions are very simple to understand and implement. There is also a certain point in time where you will have to halt the construction and sort the pieces, otherwise it will be very difficult to find all the pieces. In general, it is an impressive toy.
- LEGO Death Star is definitely an outstanding product by LEGO. My 7 year old had to save for more than an year to be able to buy it all by himself. He says that it is worth giving up all the small toys for the sake of this big purchase. After going through the various opinions out there, I decided to time how long it would take us to complete the entire set. In the end, it all summed up to 18 hours spread over four days. This includes the time taken to sort the pieces once the bag had been opened. This was also the only point in time that assistance was sort. There is also an instructions manual that is huge but easy to follow. The set itself is very impressive; it has very amazing details. There are numerous places where one can reenact scenes from the movie itself. There are several minifigures also. My son says that he could do it all over again without changing anything since it's all worth it at the end of the day. This is recommended for any Lego Star Wars fan or collector.
